What Is Inclined Vibrating Screen

The vibrating screens are the most important screening machines primarily utilized in the mineral processing industry. They are used to separate feeds containing solid and crushed ores, and material is typically fed to a single deck, double deck or triple deck screen to make the required sizes.

How an Inclined Vibrating Screen Works

A vibrating screen is formed by a vibrant chassis that supports in its interior one or several surfaces or elements of screening. The frame of the vibrating screen is mounted on springs. The vibration is generated from an unbalanced flywheel and eccentric shaft. A very erratic motion is developed when this wheel is rotated. Linear motion inclined screens are used primarily in the aggregate industry where production volume has increased but space limitations do not allow for larger screens.

Circular motion-inclined screens typically lend themselves to scalping operations.  The circular motion causes the material to roll down the deck.  This helps reduce the “plugging” of the near-size material in the openings.  Elliptical motion inclined screens operate in much the same way as the circular motion version. Depending on drive placement, this screen can speed up the travel rate on the feed end and slow it down on the discharge end.

The inclined vibrating screen can be explained using the deck screen and put it onto an inclined frame. The frame is mounted on a spring, and the vibration is generated from an unbalanced flywheel, as a result, a very erratic motion is developed when this wheel is rotated. The inclined screens come in various sizes starting from 2 up to 16 and are equipped with up to 4 decks that can be supplied with different types of screen media options to meet the requirements of a wide range of applications.

Types of Screen Media

Punch plate
Fabricated steel wire
Polyurethane
Elastic steel rod, etc.

Why Powerups Inclined Vibrating Screen

Powerups MEG series inclined vibrating screens are designed to meet and exceed the demanding applications and specifications required of screening equipment, which provide a solution for all applications, including minerals, aggregates, etc. Each screen is built with maximum strength steel to withstand heavy loading and with the durability to provide you longer wear life. They are available in a range of sizes from 4’x12’ to 8’x20’, and capable of fitting into any existing structure of crushing plant.

The two bearings, circular throw inclined screen from Powerups utilizes a counterweight on a shaft to move the screen. The screen is mounted on springs and is powered by an electric motor. The inclination of this type of screen runs from 15 to 25 degree. The inclined screen is easily adjusted to improve overall performance and efficiency. The inclined vibrating screen can be lubricated by oil or grease as an option, and the screen media can be punch plate, fabricated steel wire or polyurethane.
